SARAJEVO, June 27 (FENA) - Prices of products and services used for personal consumption in Bosnia and Herzegovina, measured by the consumer price index, in May compared to the previous month this year, increased by an average of 1.1 percent, while at the annual level, an average price increase of 14.4 percent was recorded.
Food and non-alcoholic beverages, in May this year compared to May last year, are on average 22.7 percent more expensive, alcoholic beverages and tobacco by 0.6 percent, housing and utilities by 11.3 percent, furniture and household appliances by 8.1 percent, health care by 1.3 percent, transportation by 30.3 percent, communications by 0.8 percent, recreation and culture by 6.3 percent, education by 0.7 percent, restaurants and hotels by 8.6 percent, and other goods and services by 5.2 percent, according to the BiH Agency for Statistics.
Clothing and footwear were on average five percent cheaper.
