TUZLA, June 22 (FENA) - The 49th Plum Fair in Gradačac this year will be held from August 24 to 27 at the Skenderija Sports Hall in that city, but also various eventswill be held at the Captain Gradaščević's Hussein Tower and Lake Hazna.
The first Plum Fair in Gradačac was held in 1969, and since 1987 it has received the prefix international.
“The forty-ninth plum fair will be held at about 5,000 square meters. We will have about 350 exhibitors from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Croatia and Montenegro. It is divided, so to speak, into three sections: agricultural production, food industry and machinery and equipment. During the 49th Plum Fair, we will have the fifth sub-fair activity in a row, i.e. the International Beekeeping Fair,” said today at a press conference Director of the Tourism Board of the City of Gradačac, Ensar Mešanović.
Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management of the Tuzla Canton Emir Begić, whose ministry is a partner of the fair, points out that record amounts have been set aside in the Tuzla Canton to support agricultural production, and for Gradačac he pointed out that they are leaders in fruit production.
