SARAJEVO, January 23 (FENA) - The session of the House of Representatives of the Parliament of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina should be held on Monday and Tuesday, and one of the announced items on the agenda is the Draft Budget of the Federation of BiH for 2022.
The budget was proposed by urgent procedure and announced as an item on the agenda for the session of the House of Peoples convened for Thursday.
The most important financial act of the Federation of BiH cannot enter into force until it is approved by a majority vote of both houses.
It was proposed by the FBiH Government in the total amount of about 5.5 billion KM, one percent more than last year's budget, or 53.8 million KM more.
The structure is characterized by an increase in tax revenues, especially from contributions for pension and disability insurance and from indirect taxes.
On the other hand, it is planned to increase the amount of capital transfers and expenditures for the purchase of fixed assets. Favorable and optimistic revised revenue projections, as well as lower planned expenditures, have significantly reduced the need for borrowing and lower planned receipts compared to the previous fiscal year, the FBiH Government said in a number of other indicators.
The programs and measures are tailored to citizens, businesses and economic entities in order to mitigate the consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic and are intended to support vulnerable sectors of the economy to raise competitiveness, strengthen health sector and finance labor market measures to maintain employment and creat new jobs.
