SARAJEVO, January 21 (FENA) - The budget proposal of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina for 2022, according to the official announcement, should be on the agenda of both houses of the FBiH Parliament next week.

The session of the House of Representatives is scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday, January 24 and 25, the House of Peoples for Thursday, January 27, and the budget is one of the announced items on the agenda under the urgent procedure.

The most important financial act of the Federation was proposed by the Government of FBiH in the total amount of 5,535,108,213.00 KM, one percent more than last year's budget, or 53.8 million KM more.

The structure is characterized by an increase in tax revenues, especially from contributions for pension and disability insurance and from indirect taxes.

Explaining the need for an urgent procedure, the FBiH Government stated that in order to prevent the spread of COVID-19, a number of measures and activities were introduced in the previous period that had positive effects in the fight against COVID-19 virus, on the one hand, while on the other hand, economic trends in the economy have significantly deteriorated.

The FBiH budget proposal needs to be approved by both houses of the FBiH Parliament to take effect.
