A total of 3,162 newly infected with Covid in BiH, 17 people died

SARAJEVO, January 14 (FENA) - A total of 6,719 samples were tested in Bosnia and Herzegovina in the past 24 hours, of which 3,162 were positive for Covid-19 which is a record number since the beginning of the pandemic.

Seventeen people died, 15 of them in the Federation of BiH and two in the entity of Republika Srpska. So far, 13,741 people have died in Bosnia and Herzegovina as a result of coronavirus infection.

In the past 24 hours, a total of 4,455 samples were registered with the Public Health Institute of the Federation of BiH, of which 1,889 were positive for SARS-CoV-2.

New cases have been registered in all the cantons in the Federation of BiH.

In the past 24 hours, 15 deaths were reported in the Federation of BiH. The total number of deaths in the Federation of BiH so far is 7,656, the entity's Public Health Institute said.

A total of 1,914 laboratory samples were tested at the Institute of Public Health of the Republic of Srpska, and coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2) was confirmed in 1,057 people.

In the last 24 hours, two deaths have been reported to the RS Institute of Public Health.

A total of 5,617 people died of coronavirus in the RS. 

216 new cases of virus infection were registered in the Brčko District of BiH, out of 350 samples tested.

According to the data from the Public Health Subdivision of the Government of the Brčko District of BiH, 468 people have died in the District so far as a result of Covid-19.
