Izetbegović talks with Ambassador of Iran about the situation in BiH

FENA Press release

SARAJEVO, January 5 (FENA) - President of the Party of Democratic Action (SDA) Bakir Izetbegović met today with Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Bosnia and Herzegovina Gholamrez Alimohammad Ghelichkhan.

The two officials discussed the ongoing situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina, with a special focus on the unconstitutional activities of the authorities in the RS entity, which violate the Dayton Peace Agreement.

They jointly emphasized the need to use all political and diplomatic potentials to stop the undermining of the constitutional order and to preserve peace and stability in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Izetbegović informed Ambassador Ghelichkhan about the content of previous talks on amendments to the BiH Constitution and Election Law, emphasizing the importance of finding a compromise solution that would include removing existing blockades in the Federation of BiH and reducing the powers of the FBiH House of Peoples exclusively to the level of the protection of vital national interest.
