SARAJEVO, December 22 (FENA) - Branislav Borenović, President of the Party of Democratic Progress (PDP), was questioned as a witness in the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina today as part of the case "attack on the constitutional order".
After the hearing, Borenović said that he had a "correct conversation with prosecutors and that it was clear what the consequences would be of opening difficult political topics."
“It was known that opening difficult political topics has the consequence of entering an unnecessary circle of things that we need the least in this country. Instead of dealing with the burning issues that people are facing, we are dealing with difficult political matters, tensions, conflicts imposed on us by the ruling elites. The facts are also known through the transcript of the National Assembly of the RS,” said the president of the PDP.
He added that he stands behind every word he said at the NARS session.
“This is a painful and meaningless situation. The trigger was Inzko's imposed decision and then things continued. We are entering a spiral of conflict, tension, hopelessness and nonsense in which citizens lose the most energy, lose faith in institutions,” said Borenović.
He stated, at the same time, that all this is the result of the SNSD election campaign, and that it is no coincidence that a special session of the NARS was held before the early elections in Prijedor.
Borenović believes that the most important issue of BiH and RS is "how to make the people live better, to fight the pandemic, how to stop people from leaving the country."
At the same time, Borenović said that "it is not good for this to last", and that he would like it to be over as soon as possible.
