SARAJEVO, December 8 (FENA) - Minister of Defense of Bosnia and Herzegovina Sifet Podžić received today the United States Military Attaché to BiH, Brigadier Michael Tarquinto in an official visit.
The meeting was also attended by BiH Assistant Minister of Defense for International Cooperation Zoran Šajinović, BiH Defense Minister's Office Chief Kemal Korjenić and other associates from the BiH MoD, as well as the head of the Office of Defense Cooperation (ODC) of the US Embassy in BiH, Major Taib Grozdanić.
The interlocutors discussed the current activities of the Armed Forces of BiH and the challenges facing Bosnia and Herzegovina on the path to Euro-Atlantic integration. Minister Podžić emphasized the great importance of the strategic partnership between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the United States of America in the field of military cooperation and thanked for the significant assistance provided by the United States in the modernization of the BiH Armed Forces.
Brigadier Tarquinto pointed out that the United States has excellent cooperation with the Ministry of Defense and the Armed Forces of BiH, the Press Service of the Ministry of Defense of Bosnia and Herzegovina said.
