SARAJEVO, November 29 (FENA) - The "EXPOCERTinno" project has helped BiH companies from the metal processing and wood processing sectors to increase competitiveness, primarily by harmonizing their products with the regulatory requirements of the EU market.

At the presentation of the results of that project, which was held today at the Foreign Trade Chamber of BiH in Sarajevo, it was pointed out that the main project activities during 18 months focused on helping companies prepare technical documentation for the certification process.

The Project Coordinator at FTC BiH Tarik Kovač explained that "EXPOCERTInno" focused on the processes of internationalization, digitalization and standardization in the BiH companies from the metal processing and wood processing sectors in order to increase production and employment and successfully enter international markets, primarily the markets of the European Union.

"Also, the project is helping home-based companies to conduct management capacity assessments for innovation, as well as to learn how to use available EU funds to support small and medium enterprises," said Kovač.

"EXPOCERTinno" is co-financed by the European Union and the Federal Republic of Germany through the EU4Business project jointly implemented by GIZ, UNDP and ILO.
