Džindić: We are trying to find solution that won't be to the detriment of anyone

SARAJEVO, November 28 (FENA) - FBiH Minister of Energy, Mining and Industry Nermin Džindić said that they are trying to be mediators in a direct conflict between the FBiH Miners' Union and Elektroprivreda BiH (EPBiH) and that they are trying to reach a final agreement that will not be to the detriment of either Elektroprivreda or the miners.

“Together we need to look for a compromise solution, which in the end will be that Elektroprivreda can operate normally, and that the miners have regular servicing of all obligations. All this should go in the direction that neither Elektroprivreda nor the miners are at a loss,” said Minister Džindić for FENA.

He noted that the Rulebook on Labor and Performance, which may be the main cause of the protest, was repealed by an agreement by the end of the year, and that both sides would immediately enter into talks twice a week to draft a rulebook acceptable to both parties and to promote such a rulebook in such a way to explain to each miner what his salary was and what it would be like, under the promise of FBiH Prime Minister Fadil Novalić and Minister Džindić that no miner would receive a lower salary than he had.

Speaking about the binding of past work experience, Džindić said that they offered it to be according to the system of binding the past work experience, as the FBiH Government does.

“Every year we allocate about 10 million KM to link past work experience for people who are ready to retire. According to that model, we again planned around 10 million KM in the budget for 2022, and at the session of the FBiH Government tomorrow I will demand that this increase be from 10 to 20 million KM, so that it can be considered at the session of the House of Representatives of the Federation BiH Parliament on Tuesday, all with the aim of binding of past work experience to the miners,” he said.

Given that they have an increasing number of requests from the mines to increase the price of coal, the Minister said that the price should increase and that this is the commitment of everyone in this process.
