SARAJEVO, October 13 (FENA) - President of the Party of Democratic Action (SDA) Bakir Izetbegović said today in Sarajevo that he was willing to hold a one-on-one meeting with the president of the Alliance of Independent Social Democrats SNSD), Milorad Dodik.
"I am interested in whether these are really some misconceptions and maybe things can still be stopped," said Izetbegović.
He added that he is ready to discuss the unblocking of the state institutions because he believes that it is possible to get out of this situation regarding the application of Inzko's law on banning genocide denial.
Izetbegović explained that the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH had 15 years to adopt such a law, but it did not, and the former High Representative was forced to do so.
"We can still adopt such a law and ask the OHR to withdraw this one, which would be a way out of this situation," Izetbegović believes.
He pointed out that he had heard that the Serb side would be interested in the law i+that would include the war crimes in Jasenovac, and that the SDA has nothing against it.
Izetbegović underlined that he would not negotiate the Constitution, the return to the original Dayton Agreement and the position of the OHR at any cost.
