SARAJEVO, October 5 (FENA) - On the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the independence of the Republic of Slovenia and the celebration of Slovenia's presidency of the Council of the European Union, Slovenian Ambassador to Bosnia and Herzegovina Damijan Sedar organized a promotional tram ride under the motto "I feel Slovenia".

In addition to promotional rides in Sarajevo, the Embassy organized promotional bus rides in Tuzla, Mostar and Banja Luka, which will be in traffic for the next three months to promote the slogan "I feel Slovenia" in all major BiH cities.

The Ambassador emphasized that BiH and Slovenia are friendly countries, without open issues, and in addition, a large number of Slovenes live in BiH, while also a large number of BiH citizens live and work in Slovenia.

The promotional ride was organized today for the representatives of Slovenian companies in BiH, of which there are more than a hundred and which employ more than 15,000 workers.

The exchange between BiH and Slovenia amounts to about 1.2 billion euros, and the fact that the exchange between BiH and Slovenia is higher than the trade exchange between Slovenia and the United States shows the importance of the relations between the two countries.

"BiH is a very beautiful country, there are all the resources needed for future progress. Sometimes it is just a matter of a small innovative approach to ensure a better future for new generations and prevent young people from leaving," said Ambassador Sedar.

As he stated, with more foreign investments, implementation of reforms and continuation of work on integration towards the European Union, it is possible to ensure a better future.

The summit "European Union - Western Balkans" will be held tomorrow in Brdo near Kranj, and the ambassador reiterated Slovenia's position on full support for the accession of the countries of the Western Balkans into the European Union.

He emphasizes that this process requires reforms, but speaking of their experience during the negotiations, these numerous reforms were worth implementing, as changes are needed in order to improve the living standards of every citizen.

"The EU has solutions to a number of issues that truly work. But what is very important in this regard is the need for consensus of the whole society, not only for the direction we are going but because of the changes that need to be done, not only changes in the legislation but also their implementation," concluded the Ambassador of the Republic of Slovenia in BiH Damijan Sedar.

Slovenian companies based in Bosnia and Herzegovina also helped the realization of this promotional campaign.
