SKOPJE, September 28 (FENA) - Member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Šefik Džaferović continued his working visit with the Prime Minister of the Republic of North Macedonia Zoran Zaev to discuss bilateral relations between the two countries, which were jointly stated to be friendly, without any outstanding questions.
The two officials underlined the importance of Euro-Atlantic integration as a crucial framework for the stabilization and progress of the Western Balkans region.
The common commitment to the membership of both countries in the European Union was confirmed, as well as the firm conviction that the current delays will be overcome because it is in the mutual interest of both the countries of the region and the European Union.
Positive steps in cooperation between the two countries were highlighted, such as facilitating the entry of citizens of one country into another only with ID cards, as well as other similar steps in the field of student exchange and driver's licenses, which is the way to continue.
The interlocutors agreed that the Berlin Process is the main and irreplaceable framework in the context of strengthening regional economic cooperation.
The BiH Presidency member Džaferović expressed strong support for strengthening economic cooperation and removing barriers between Bosnia and Herzegovina and North Macedonia through the implementation of the Sofia Agreement on the Common Regional Market (CRM).
A special topic of conversation was the need to improve the transport connection between the two countries.
The BiH Presidency member expressed support for the policy of building harmonious interethnic relations and civil society in North Macedonia, through respect for ethnic and cultural differences and respect for individual human rights and equality of citizens before the law.
