BELGRADE, September 14 (FENA) - Pre-trial judge of the High Court in Belgrade - The War Crimes Chamber, on Tuesday, after hearing the suspect, issued a decision ordering Edin Vranj into custody for up to 30 days, "due to the existence of circumstances indicating that there is the danger that the defendant if he were to be released, could escape," N1 reports.
The suspect and his defense counsel have the right to an appeal against the said decision within three days from the receipt of the decision to the out-of-court panel of the High Court in Belgrade.
The suspect Edin Vranj is charged with committing the criminal offense of "war crime against prisoners of war under Article 144 of the FRY Criminal Code.
