SARAJEVO, July 29 (FENA) - Raisu-l-ulama of the Islamic Community in Bosnia and Herzegovina Husein ef. Kavazović and Saudi Minister of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Abdullatif bin Abdulaziz Al-Sheikh signed a Memorandum of Understanding yesterday at the Gazi Husrev-bey Library in Sarajevo.
This important document will regulate the relations between the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance of Saudi Arabia and the Islamic Community in Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as improve the existing cooperation.
“We are very lucky that Bosnia and Herzegovina is the first Balkan country where Muslims live that have signed such an important protocol on cooperation,” said Raisu-l-ulama, expressing satisfaction with the visit of the esteemed Saudi minister to our homeland.
Minister Al Sheikh pointed out that in the efforts of the Islamic Community and Reis-l-ulema, he recognized the efforts to build a Muslim community in Bosnia and Herzegovina as a "middle way" community.
“Starting from the fact that we are obliged to abide by what Allah has commanded us, and to be a community of the middle way, not extremely to the right or extremely to the left, so that in our worldly life we walk justly and steadfastly, and that is what I have witnessed in my brother, his eminence Raisu-l-ulama. He instills calmness. I witnessed the aspiration and seriousness in accepting everything that encourages people to adhere to 'moderate Islam' and thus be a model for the world in which they live in Europe,” said the Saudi Minister, MINA reports.
