BANJA LUKA, July 26 (FENA) - At a meeting of leaders of parliamentary parties based in Republika Srpska, held in Banja Luka on the occasion of the decision of High Representative Valentin Inzko to amend the BiH Criminal Code banning and punishing genocide denial, it was concluded that representatives of political parties from RS reject the High Representative's imposed decisions and consider it unacceptable and null and void.

After the meeting, the President of the RS National Assembly, Nedeljko Čubrilović, told reporters that one of the conclusions reached was that there are no conditions for the work of Serb representatives in BiH institutions - the Presidency, the Parliamentary Assembly and the BiH Council of Ministers.

“We reject any imposition at the level of BiH and there is no legal High Representative, because he was not elected in accordance with the envisaged procedure, therefore we reject any cooperation with him,” stated Čubrilović.

According to him, other joint activities that will be discussed in the coming period were also discussed at the meeting. He pointed out that this is a process that has begun and will continue.

“The presidents of the parties agreed that two laws related to this topic will be sent to the procedure through the parliamentary caucuses, and these are criminal laws,” stated Čubrilović.

When asked by a journalist what it means that there are no conditions for the work of Serb representatives in BiH institutions and whether that means withdrawing from these institutions, Čubrilović explained that no one is withdrawing, but that there are no conditions for working in Presidency, Parliamentary Assembly and BiH Council of Ministers.

PDP President Branislav Borenović explained that as of tomorrow, Serb political representatives in BiH institutions will not participate in the work and will not make any decisions until further notice, until this issue is resolved.

He added that he sincerely believes that it is possible to find that this issue, when it comes to this law, will be resolved in the coming period.
