Zvizdić: Instead of vehicles, the funds should go for sports, culture, science

FENA Muhamed Hadžibegić

SARAJEVO, July 16 (FENA) - Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives of the BiH Parliament Denis Zvizdić today submitted his amendment proposals to the BiH Budget Draft for 2021.

He stated that the goal of these amendments is to financially help top athletes and national sports selections of BiH, to allocate funds for cultural institutions, science, safe houses, etc., instead of purchasing vehicles for the state officials.

In the explanation of the first amendment, Zvizdić pointed out that he believes that it is more urgent to redirect part of the funds to the national selections, clubs and individual athletes for preparations for big competitions in order to help them achieve better results.

The second amendment aims to redirect some of the money to victims of domestic violence, people with disabilities, families of missing persons, and cooperation with the diaspora.

In the third amendment, Zvizdić proposes redirecting funds to support cultural institutions in BiH, as well as to support projects in the field of science.
