Izetbegović: BiH Prosecution is too involved in politics and especially Bosniaks

SARAJEVO, July 14 (FENA) - President of the Party of Democratic Action (SDA) Bakir Izetbegović, commenting on the arrest of the director of the Intelligence and Security Agency (OSA) Osman Mehmedagić, told FENA that it is "an incredible persistence of the Prosecutor's Office of BiH, i.e. the prosecutor who deals with the director of OSA".

“I think this is the fourth attempt to criminalize and compromise the director of OSA. Unfortunately, the prosecution is increasingly dealing with politics, and that is dealing with Bosniaks who are well positioned. Because we have the processes led by the Prosecutor's Office in relation to our two ministers, Bisera Turković and Selmo Cikotić, in relation to our Prime Minister, that resulted in a process, a lawsuit. Persistent attempts to criminalize the director of OSA, to interfere with the Clinical Center,” stated Izetbegović.

He says that the time passes when it comes to Serbs and Croats. Cases such as "Icon", "Horseshoe" and other affairs were covered up.

“It is an incredible thing that the unconstitutional referendum, organized by the SNSD and their president, was covered up. We have very rich politicians all over BiH, we see their wealth, no one deals with it, but everything is possible when it comes OSA director - holder of the Golden Police Badge, deserving patriot, war invalid who is asked to prove how he built a house after 40 years of career, where did he get his diploma, etc.,” said the President of the SDA.

He added that BiH Prosecution is too involved in politics and "specifically Bosniaks, and that will have to stop."

He pointed out that "we need a professional, quality judicial system, and not what we have now."
