Novalić and Ramić join the Peace March in Mravinjci

FENA Press release

SARAJEVO, July 10 (FENA) - Prime Minister of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina Fadil Novalić and the FBiH Minister of Displaced Persons and Refugees Edin Ramić joined the participants in the 17th Peace March this morning at the beginning of the third and last section of the March in Mravinjci.

That section is about 20 kilometers long and, among other things, passes Kameničko brdo, where in 1995 more than a thousand civilians were killed in an ambush, and the same number were captured.

“I am honored to pass at least part of the March this year as well, which thousands of Podrinje residents passed in 1995, saving their lives. With the Peace March, we pay tribute to all those brave people who passed this route in the opposite direction in terrible torments, fleeing from criminals. This march is, above all, in honor of those who, unfortunately, failed to reach freedom. The Peace March nurtures a tradition that keeps everything that happened here 26 years ago from being forgotten,” said Prime Minister Novalić.

The Peace March started this year on July 8 from Nezuk and will end this afternoon in Potočari. About three thousand participants have passed the 110-kilometer route in three days. This year's March is taking place in accordance with all epidemiological measures,” said the Press Service of the Government of FBiH.
