BRČKO, July 2 (FENA) - A high delegation of the Party of Democratic Action (SDA) visited Brčko today, where they talked with the authorities about how the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina can do more for that community, but also for the municipalities in the Posavina Canton.
As SDA President Bakir Izetbegović said at the press conference, Brčko is a better part of BiH both from the political aspect, but also in terms of stability, since it is a broader coalition that functions thanks to, among other things, Brčko Mayor Esed Kadrić.
“The Brčko District is developing, infrastructure is being built, including road and rail, the reconstruction of the bridge over the Sava River is underway, as well as connecting Brčko with Sarajevo and the rest of BiH, but also Europe. Sports facilities are being built too,” Izetbegović added, saying that agriculture and other branches of the economy are developing.
He recommended the authorities to start intensive production of agricultural products, as well as the introduction of renewable energy sources, since solar energy is the future, and Posavina and Herzegovina have the potential for that.
Mayor of Brčko District, Esed Kadrić, informed Izetbegović about the work of the District Government and the reforms they are implementing, with special reference to the regulatory framework of the law on prevention of conflicts of interest in District institutions, which will preserve the integrity of all public officials.
He also informed Izetbegović about activities related to the importance of large infrastructure projects, with special reference to the construction of the future Belgrade-Sarajevo motorway and the role of the District Government in that process.
In addition to Izetbegović, the SDA delegation today included the Prime Minister of the Federation of BiH, Fadil Novalić, FBiH Minister of Agriculture, Water Management and Forestry, Šemsudin Dedić, and FBiH Minister of Displaced Persons and Refugees, Edin Ramić.
