MOSTAR, July 1 (FENA) - Raisu-l-ulama of the Islamic Community in BiH Husein effendi Kavazović today opened the newly built Waqf Complex Podveležje, which covers more than 2,000 square meters which includes a hotel, restaurant, a center for the elderly, a mosque and a library.
Rais Kavazović emphasized that this is an unusual project for the Islamic Community and that they have not had projects of this kind so far, but that he hopes that this, like their other projects, would benefit the wider community.
"With this project of the Center for Healthy Aging, the Islamic Community opens another area for its activities," said Kavazović.
The hotel has nine superior rooms, four superior suites and two deluxe suites, a restaurant with a capacity of 80 indoor and 40 outdoor seats, a multipurpose conference hall with a 180-degree view of Herzegovinian nature and a spa. Special emphasis has been placed on the traditional cuisine where food is produced by local producers from the Podveležje region.
The complex is located 15 kilometers from Mostar, and this is also the first institution of this purpose that operates within the Islamic Community in BiH.
