Tegeltija:Agreement between BiH and IC is waiting for decision of BiH Presidency

FENA Darinka Mitrović

SARAJEVO, June 16 (FENA) - Chairman of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina Zoran Tegeltija (SNSD) said today that the Agreement between BiH and the Islamic Community of BiH (IC BiH) is in the process and that a decision of the Presidency of BiH is awaited.

At the first special joint session of both houses of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly, at which deputies ask questions to the BiH Council of Ministers, the deputy in the House of Peoples of the BiH Parliament Denis Bećirović (SDP) asked Tegeltija what the BiH Council of Ministers did to help and support the adoption of the Basic Agreement between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Islamic Community in BiH.

“The Council of Ministers in the previous convocation determined the draft agreement between BiH and IZBiH on September 29, 2015. That document was sent to the Presidency of BiH very quickly, and since then there has been no official communication or official positions between the Presidency of BiH and the Council of Ministers from the previous and incumbent convocation regarding that issue,” stated Tegeltija.

He added that the agreement determined by the Council of Ministers is still in the process, and that the Council of Ministers is not able to do anything about that issue until the Presidency of BiH decides on it.

Due to the fact that the issue of this agreement has not been resolved, as Tegltija added, the BiH Council of Ministers could not make a decision to change the decision on establishing a joint commission for implementing the Basic Agreement between BiH and Serbian Otrhodox Church, and a joint commission between BiH and the Holy See.
