SARAJEVO, June 15 (FENA) - The budget of BiH institutions was not adopted only because BiH Presidency Chairman Milorad Dodik does not convene regular sessions of the Presidency, BiH Presidency member Željko Komšić said in a statement for FENA today.
Komšić states that Dodik, since he took over the eight-month chairmanship of the Presidency of BiH in November last year, convened only one session of the Presidency and stopped there.
“Whenever someone from the media asked why regular sessions of the Presidency are not convened, he would deceive the public with statements that he convenes sessions. However, since March he has not convened any which is an unprecedented practice in the history of the Presidency. He was in Belgrade ten times more in both rotations of the presidency than he did his job and performed the function for which he was elected,” he said.
According to him, the budget was not adopted only because he, as the chairman, does not convene regular sessions of the Presidency.
“I doubt that he will convene a session of the Presidency by the end of this rotation. In addition to the budget, numerous international agreements are pending. As soon as I take over the duty of the chairman of the Presidency, I will schedule a regular session where everything that should have been done will be, and thanks to Dodik's inaction it is not, including the budget of institutions, if by some miracle it is not adopted by then,” said Komšić who will take over the duty of the chairman of the BiH Pesidency from Dodik next month.
