SARAJEVO, June 13 (FENA) - Greek Foreign Minister Nicos Denidas sent a letter to the BiH Foreign Minister Bisera Turković saying that he agreed with her that a faster and more dynamic European integration process is the best path to stability and prosperity in the Western Balkans.
Denidas sent the letter in response to a letter sent by Minister Turković to European Union foreign ministers on Europe Day, stressing that the majority of BiH citizens continue to support European integration and that there are political forces ready to implement the necessary reforms without delay.
"I am glad to hear that the vast majority of BiH citizens support European integration and that there is an understanding that it has no alternative. I am convinced that there is no other way for the Western Balkans than European integration," Denidas emphasized.
He also stressed that they want to see decisive and sustainable progress of BiH towards full stability, market economy and well-being for citizens.
"The stability, security, prosperity and functionality of BiH as a single, united and sovereign state is extremely important for Greece and the European Union. I am particularly pleased to hear your assurances that the democratic political forces in your country are ready to carry out all the necessary reforms without delay. We encourage you to put the reforms in an even faster pace," it is stated, among other things, in the letter to Minister Turković.
Greece also offered assistance in the integration process, stressing that it is committed to strengthening bilateral relations and speeding up BiH's European path.
