MOSTAR, June 10 (FENA) - The Prime Minister of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Fadil Novalić, said today during the break of the Government session in Mostar, that a contract on direct procurement of 500,000 doses of Sinofarm vaccines was signed with the manufacturer.
He pointed out that the public is aware that the Federation of BiH directly negotiated with China for the procurement of these vaccines, and that the contract was signed on behalf of the Government of the Federation of BiH by the Acting Director of the Institute of Public Health of the FBiH Siniša Skočibušić.
"It is also known that due to the publicity clause, that we are not able to give more information about this. The Government of China has approved the amount of half a million doses of vaccines to the Federation of BiH. Everywhere in the world, the states are the ones that procure vaccines, and the FBiH Government has undertaken, is undertaking and will undertake all activities to procure vaccines for the citizens of the FBiH," said Novalić.
He stressed that they have never given up on any option to procure vaccines and stressed that they are trying to procure Pfizer vaccines in agreement with the state level.
On behalf of the FBiH Government, Novalić thanked the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in BiH and the Embassy of BiH in China.
