SARAJEVO, May 24 (FENA) - The Parliament of Montenegro., at today's session, should consider the Resolution on genocide in Srebrenica and the Prime Minister of Montenegro Zdravko Krivokapic, who is on an official visit to Bosnia and Herzegovina today, said that "every victim in the region matters."

He reminded that the Declaration on Genocide in Srebrenica was adopted in 2009, but Krivokapić says that the worst thing that is happening in the region now is that victims are being used for political purposes.

"Politics, that might have been an accomplice of direct or indirect events, today is trying to change something without remorse because every victim is worthy of our sympathy and not be used for any other purpose," Krivokapić said.

He says that his attitude towards Srebrenica is clear because he started the process of dismissing a minister in the Government of Montenegro because of Srebrenica, even though he knew that it might result in overthrowing the government.

"I am sorry for all the victims who need to warn us and teach us something. That should be a message to all of us that there is no war that is valuable enough because no one can bring back the lives of the victims," he said.

It is necessary for everyone in this region to understand that reconciliation is more valuable than any quarrel, that views that were once views of hatred do not bring good to anyone, and that the only message should be a message of love.

"If there is no such thing, we will poison with hatred our future generations, which is not in anyone's interest. We need to educate generations on our mistakes. One side cannot be guilty and we must return to what is our basic task and to build the future in the best way possible," concluded the Prime Minister of Montenegro Zoran Krivokapić.

Asked whether the Resolution would be adopted today, Krivokapić said that for the first time, Montenegro has a government that does not give instructions to the Parliament of Montenegro.

The motion for a resolution strongly condemns the genocide in Srebrenica, confirms that 8,000 Bosniak civilians were murdered, and prohibits public denial of the existence or diminishing the crime of genocide.

In addition, July 11 would be declared the Day of Remembrance of the victims of genocide, it highlights the determination of the state of Montenegro to affirm the values of peace and stability and calls on the competent institutions to prosecute those accused of genocide in Srebrenica, war crimes and crimes against humanity.
