BIHAĆ, May 12 (FENA) - Consul General of the Republic of Croatia in Banja Luka Zoran Piličić at yesterday's meeting with the Mayor of Bihać Šuhret Fazlić was especially interested in the position of the Croat community in this part of BiH, as well as the management of the migration process.

"We are well aware of the problem of the large presence of migrants in Bihać, the difficult process of taking care of these people in the entire region, but it is obvious that Mr. Fazlić is doing good job, because he received a second mayoral mandate from his fellow citizens. We are ready to help within our competencies and possibilities. A special topic was of course the position of the Croat community in Bihać and we jointly condemned the recent appearance of offensive graffiti on the walls of the church of St. Anthony of Padua. It is not only an insult to Catholics but to all citizens of this city and I am sure that the competent authorities will thoroughly investigate and sanction the perpetrators of this act of vandalism", said Consul Piličić.

He once again appealed for a systematic solution to the problem of financing the Catholic School Center "John Paul II" in the city on the Una River, emphasizing that the eventual closure of this educational institution would not be a good message from Bihać.

The mayor of Bihać agreed with that, expressing the desire for Bihać to be an example of an open European city in which all citizens have equal conditions for work and life.
