SARAJEVO, May 12 (FENA) - Raisu-l-ulama of the Islamic Community in Bosnia and Herzegovina Husein effendi Kavazović received yesterday in his office the Turkish Ambassador to BiH Sadik Babür Girgin.
On this occasion, the Rais thanked the Turkish Ambassador for the support and assistance his country has provided to the Islamic Community so far, especially when it comes to major construction projects, such as the reconstruction of the Arnaudija Mosque in Banja Luka and the Sinan Pasha Mosque in Čajnice whose realization is in progress.
Ambassador Girgin said that Turkey would continue to provide assistance to the Islamic Community in Bosnia and Herzegovina and that he hopes that his mandate here will be marked with great work and effort in that area.
The two interlocutors also touched on the unfortunate events in Jerusalem, expressing indignation and condemnation of Israeli violence against believers and the Al-Aqsa Mosque, but also hope that the Palestinian people will eventually exercise their rights, MINA reports.
