SARAJEVO, May 10 (FENA) - Deputy Chair of the BiH Council of Ministers and BiH Foreign Minister Bisera Turković called on all relevant institutions to speed up the process of establishing a system of issuing vaccination certificates in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

“This is an extremely important process. I am aware that some talks have been initiated and that some local communities have already announced the issuance of such certificates. We believe that the state must be involved in the process in order to ensure international recognition and verification of certificates. The states have already started talks on mutual recognition of certificates, which will ultimately ensure and facilitate travel and border crossing,” said Minister Turković.

As she pointed out, BiH must establish a unique and functional system as soon as possible, in order not to be late for its neighbors and European countries, thus making travel more difficult for BiH citizens.

“In the conversation with European officials, this topic is among the highest priorities. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of BiH is ready to immediately start talks with neighboring countries and the European Union on the recognition of certificates from Bosnia and Herzegovina, but it is first necessary to establish a system as soon as possible,” said Turković, BiH MoFA announced.
