SARAJEVO, May 10 (FENA) - The Police Academy of the FBiH Ministry of the Interior (FMUP) today officially received a certificate of joining the International Association of Directors of Law Enforcement Standards and Training of the United States of America (IADLEST).
The certificate was officially handed over by the director of the International Criminal Investigative Training Assistance Program (ICITAP), Scott Hatifield, after the FBiH MoI Police Academy successfully completed the accession process.
The FBiH Minister of the Interior, Aljoša Čampara, on the occasion of awarding the certificate, said that in the future, the FMUP will continuously develop and improve the system of education and professional training of police officers and candidates for police service.
“The FMUP Police Academy, thanks to its quality work, has become part of world practices. This also represents a responsibility and obligation that we, as FMUP, will certainly justify,” said Čampara.
Director of the FMUP Police Academy Damir Vejo said that the FMUP Police Academy continuously and persistently performed all activities that were expected during the accreditation process itself.
This extremely important act of joining the network of US police academies is of undisputed importance to the FMUP Police Academy, which has the honor of becoming one of three academies outside the US as part of a world-renowned association and as such, represents one of the most important dates in history of this academy, the FMUP said.
