SARAJEVO, May 2 (FENA) - The Association for Digitization and Informatization of Cultural Heritage DIGI.BA opened a Virtual Reality showroom in the Museum of the Battle for the Wounded on the Neretva River in Jablanica.
The museum provides an opportunity for the Battle of Neretva to become a virtual reality for every visitor. In a virtual 3D game, visitors can experience this battle as if they were its participant, listen to the commander's orders and complete the tasks - demolish the bridge, shoot down the enemy planes, save the wounded and even meet Comrade Tito.
After the Sarajevo War Tunnel Museum, Museum of the Battle for the Wounded on the Neretva is the second museum in Bosnia and Herzegovina that offers VR content.
The Memorial Complex of the Battle on the Neretva in Jablanica is dedicated to the Battle on the Neretva. In order to mark this event, the Memorial Complex was opened on 12 November 1978 to mark the 35th anniversary of the Battle of the Neretva. The Memorial Complex included the Monument on Makljen near Prozor, designed by Boško Kućanski. The Complex in Jablanica and the Monument on Makljen was ceremonially opened by Josip Broz Tito.
In 2009, the Commission to Preserve National Monuments of BiH designated the historic site – the memorial complex of the Battle on the Neretva in Jablanica as a National Monument of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
