BIHAĆ, April 19 (FENA) - Inspectors of the Service for Foreigners' Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina, as part of intensified operational activities aimed at controlling the movement and stay of foreigners in the Una-Sana Canton, relocated nine migrant families with children from abandoned facilities to the reception centers "Sedra" and "Borići".

"It has been determined that at the site of Bosanska Bojna, near the border with the Republic of Croatia, nine families, i.e. a total of 43 people, with 19 children, were staying in abandoned buildings that do not meet even the minimum living conditions. The Service immediately initiated and coordinated a number of activities on their relocation from the mentioned locality, and accommodated them in temporary reception centers Sedra in Cazin and Borići in Bihać, which are also intended for families and vulnerable categories of migrants," said Deputy Director of the Service for Foreigners' Affairs of BiH Mirsad Buzar.

All activities on relocation of these persons were carried out in cooperation with the BiH Border Police and the International Organization for Migration (IOM), and families were taken care of and were provided with the necessary medical triage, placed in the isolation part of these centers in accordance with epidemiological measures to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic.
