SARAJEVO, April 14 (FENA) - BiH Presidency Chairman Milorad Dodik received a letter of credence from the newly appointed Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to BiH Sadik Babür Girgin today.
The officials expressed mutual satisfaction with the exceptionally good bilateral relations between BiH and the Republic of Turkey.
It was assessed that bilateral relations are good and friendly, but that there is room for enhancing the cooperation and developing relations in all areas of common interest.
BiH Presidency Chairman expressed hope for accelerating the project of the construction of the Belgrade-Sarajevo-Belgrade motorway, which is very important for the entire region and beyond.
In addition to current topics for both countries, the interlocutors discussed ways to combat the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic, and the delay in the process of procuring vaccines.
Ambassador Sadik Babur Girgin, conveying greetings to Chairman Dodik from Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu, said he was extremely honored to be appointed as Turkish Ambassador to BiH.
On this occasion, Ambassador Girgin said that the Republic of Turkey will continue to help BiH, and he especially emphasized his commitment to the promotion of concrete initiatives, from economic to trade, which will be beneficial for both countries, the Presidency of BiH announced.
