BILEĆA, April 11 (FENA) - On the occasion of the implementation of the operation codenamed "Lovac" (Hunter), in which, among other things, two police officers of the BiH Border Police were deprived of liberty, the director of this police agency Zoran Galić said that he strongly condemned any form of crime especially if committed by those whose duty is to fight it.
"The BiH Border Police invests all its capacities in the protection of the state border, and individuals with their unprofessional and unscrupulous actions try to hinder it. We are the only agency that regularly cleans in its own ranks and we will continue to do so and severely sanction those who participate in criminal activities," said Galić.
Galić added that the BiH Border Police has shown with this activity that the clear commitment of this agency is to oppose all forms of criminal and corrupt actions of the BiH Border Police officers.
The suspected police officers are suspected of allowing other suspects to smuggle excise and other products across the state border from Montenegro to BiH for a longer period of time, abusing their official position while performing their tasks during working hours. In the course of these activities, the BiH BP used the equipment donated by the Republic of Germany and the Government of the United Kingdom.
