SARAJEVO, March 18 (FENA) - The Committee for Coordination of the Implementation of the Vaccination Plan against Covid-19 in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina has made a decision to continue vaccination with the AstraZeneca / COVISHIELD vaccine in the Federation of BiH.
This decision was made after the Safety Committee of the European Medicines Agency at today's session considered the information on reported cases of thromboembolism recorded in several EU countries after vaccination with AstraZeneca vaccine and confirmed that the benefits of the vaccine in the fight against Covid-19 (which itself results in clotting problems and can be fatal) many times greater than the risk of rare side effects.
No serious adverse reactions have been reported in the Federation of BiH so far following the administration of the AstraZeneca / COVISHIELD vaccine, the FBiH Public Health Institute said.
