ANKARA, March 16 (FENA) - Minister of Communications and Transport of Bosnia and Herzegovina Vojin Mitrović was, at the invitation of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, a member of the delegation of Bosnia and Herzegovina during the official visit to Turkey together with BiH Presidency Chairman Milorad Dodik and BiH Presidency members Željko Komšić and Šefik Džaferović and the Ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina to the Republic of Turkey Adis Alagić.
On that occasion, Minister Mitrović signed the Agreement between the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Government of the Republic of Turkey on cooperation in infrastructure and construction projects and the Agreement between the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Government of the Republic of Turkey on mutual recognition and exchange of driving licenses.
Minister Mitrović pointed out that the Republic of Turkey has expressed its intentions for better inclusion of the area of Southeast Europe in the transport network of the EU and the countries of the Western Balkans.
“We consider the signing of the agreement between the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Government of the Republic of Turkey on cooperation in infrastructure and construction projects a good basis for continuing activities related to the construction of the Sarajevo-Belgrade-Sarajevo road,” he stressed.
On that occasion, Minister Mitrović also signed the Agreement on Mutual Recognition and Replacement of Driving Licenses, saying that the main reason for its conclusion was the desire to provide citizens of a country who have a driver's license that during their legal stay on the territory of another state, they can submit a request for the issuance of a replacement driver's license, without taking the theoretical and practical part of the driving test, the Ministry of Communications and Transport of BiH announced.
