FOČA, March 5 (FENA) - President of the Party of Democratic Action (SDA) Bakir Izetbegović said that last night at a meeting with representatives of the international community, which he attended together with HDZ BiH leaders Dragan Čović and SNSD leader Milorad Dodik, he asked the head of the European Union Delegation to BiH Johann Sattler to assist BiH in procuring vaccines for collective immunization.
“We asked that our vaccines that we paid for not be sent to other destinations where you pay more. A black market has been created and it is one highly sought-after commodity. BiH has paid its part of the contingent and we insist on helping us reach them,” Izetbegović pointed out.
Commenting on last night's meeting, Izetbegovic said the situation would not improve after just one meeting.
“Regardless of what the parties and their leaders thought about each other and what kind of relations they had; we represent the three peoples in BiH. It is necessary to look for ways to make it all work better together,” said Izetbegović.
He pointed out that representatives of the international community have been helping in that for decades.
“The atmosphere was quite good, no concrete progress was made, it was more about seeing which way to go, from easier to harder, when it comes to 14 priorities of the European Commission and how to reach the candidate status,” Izetbegović concluded.
