FOČA, March 5 (FENA) - President of the Party of Democratic Action (SDA) and Speaker of the House of Peoples of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly Bakir Izetbegović said today that better co-operation is needed among parties that rely on the Bosniak electorate in RS and the diaspora and that they are supposed to leave behind rivalries.
During a visit to Foča, Izetbegović said there should be one bloc in the RS that would rely heavily on the SDA, but said the SDA was ready to "withdraw and relinquish leadership if necessary".
“It does not matter which positions we will be on future lists, we just expect others to run together in the elections and implement projects, and that FBiH more financially helps returnees with one or two percent of the FBiH budget that is more than five billion KM,” said Izetbegović.
He pointed out that the international community left Srebrenica to the massacre 26 years ago and after that, it should always have the response of the international community.
“When the people of Srebrenica ask for something from the authorities in BiH, from the Federation or from the international community, we should respond,” said Izetbegović.
FBiH Minister of Displaced Persons and Refugees Edin Ramić believes that the CEC was not up to the task of the Srebrenica elections because they did not allow everyone who has the right to vote to use it, especially the diaspora.
He added that greater engagement of the international community was expected in order to repeat the complete elections, which did not happen and now there is a state of agony there that will last for four years.
