SARAJEVO, March 5 (FENA) - President of the Party of Democratic Action (SDA) and Speaker of the House of Peoples of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly Bakir Izetbegović and FBiH Minister of Displaced Persons and Refugees Edin Ramić visited the Aladža Mosque in Foča today and talked to returnees about the problems they face.

Izetbegović expressed the need to develop a better program from the Federation of BiH to support returnees in the Republika Srpska.

“It is our old wish that we did not implement to the extent we wanted,” he underlined.

He expressed hope that there would be more readiness to help returnees not only from the SDA but also from other representatives in the FBiH Parliament, so that Bosniaks and Croats in the RS could rely more strongly on the Federation of BiH, financially, organizationally and in any other way.

Speaking about the damage caused in the recent attack on the Aladža Mosque, Izetbegović said that fortunately the damage is not great and it would be repaired.

FBiH Minister of Displaced Persons and Refugees Edin Ramić said that representatives of the Bosnian-Podrinje Canton Goražde are also in the delegation led by Izetbegović and that after the Friday prayer they would discuss the problems facing the returnee community and ways to improve the economic situation of returnees in Foča.

He reminded that the Ministry has supported all major projects related to returnees over the years and that today it will present programs and plans for this year and invite returnees to participate in public calls and projects implemented in the area.
