SARAJEVO, March 4 (FENA) - Prime Minister of Sarajevo Canton Edin Forto said tonight, after a full day session of the SC Government, that it is quite possible that there will be a complete lockdown if the number of infected persons in that canton increases and called on all citizens and businesses subjects to adhere to epidemiological measures.
He pointed out that the Government of SC has adopted new measures, including isolation for confirmed cases and family members infected for 14 days, then that all shopping centers and caterers must hire Covid wardens who will take care of already prescribed measures, and that public transporters must disinfect vehicles at least twice a day and hire stewards in vehicles.
Forto emphasized that it is necessary to increase the number of tests of health workers and workers in education with quick tests and that the Government of SC also asks the Council of Ministers of BiH to require a negative PCR test not older than 48 hours when entering BiH.
Catering facilities, cinemas, and theaters are ordered to put notices on the number of people who can stay in relation to the area, calculating that 7 square meters are needed for each person.
"The situation is dramatic. If citizens and business entities do not adhere to the prescribed measures, a lockdown is inevitable," underlined Forto.
SC Minister of the Interior Admir Katica called on everyone to respect the measures and to contribute to the fight against the pandemic.
"From tomorrow, we will hire a significant number of police officers at key points in SC who will issue warnings and fines of 500 to 1,500 KM," concluded Katica.
During the day, the SC government adopted new measures in the fight against coronavirus infection, which mainly concern the health sector.
