SARAJEVO, March 4 (FENA) - The Association for the Development of cooperation between BiH and diaspora organized a panel discussion on the occasion of BiH Independence Day, which was attended by BiH diplomatic representatives from three different continents.
President of the Association, Admir Lisica, said that this was the third panel to improve cooperation between the diaspora and Bosnia and Herzegovina in various ways.
“Diplomatic representatives shared experiences in the context of marking of BiH Independence Day, but also how other emigrant communities around the world celebrate their national holidays. Also, during the panel, we could hear how important it is for diplomatic offices to justify the money invested in them, because Bosnia and Herzegovina must have adequate promoters and lobbyists in the world,” Lisica pointed out.
Ambassador of BiH to Australia Mirza Hajrić participated in the panel and emphasized that about 50,000 fellow citizens who live there have a good life in all segments, and given that the epidemiological situation in Australia is better, they organized the celebration of Independence Day.
One of the participants in the meeting was the Ambassador of BiH to Norway Nedim Makarević, who summarized the diplomatic mission in Pakistan, and compared it with the current one in Norway, emphasizing important projects that have been implemented to help Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Consul General of BiH in Chicago Elvir Resić said that the BiH diaspora is extremely numerous in Chicago and the surrounding area, expressing hope that after the pandemic, all ceremonies and celebrations of national holidays will be the same as before.
He says that a lot has been done in the economic field during his mandate, but also in the promotion of the truth about Bosnia and Herzegovina, and one of the ideas is the final establishment of a direct flight between BiH and the United States.
