SARAJEVO, March 2 (FENA) - Bosnia and Herzegovina needs systematic measures in the field of health, the formation of a state ministry of health and adoption of a 'lex specialis' law on complete depoliticization of health, said today the deputy of the Bosniak caucus in the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly Denis Bećirović (SDP).

He told reporters after the session of the House of Peoples that health care and health workers cannot depend on the government but on the profession.

“Today, the situation was clear, we saw an irresponsible attitude towards all citizens of BiH. Last year, I proposed two specific laws that provided for the establishment of the BiH Ministry of Health. Then I warned, if we do not have a serious institution that will connect 13 ministries, we will get into the current situation,” said Bećirović.

At today's emergency session, the deputies of the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH rejected the draft laws on amendments to the Law on Public Procurement and the Law on Medicines and Medical Devices, which were supposed to facilitate the procurement of coronavirus vaccines.
