ZENICA, March 2 (FENA) - Acting Prime Minister of Zenica-Doboj Canton Mirnes Bašić received the new head of the OSCE Field Office in Travnik, Igor Neder, in an inaugural visit, the ZDC Government announced.
Bašić informed Neder about the activities and measures of the Government to mitigate the consequences of the Covid-19 virus pandemic, stating that all available funds are directed to the sectors of health, economy, and agriculture. He emphasized that these areas will be priorities in the budget for 2021, which should be adopted by the Assembly by the end of this month.
Nedera thanked the Government of Zenica-Doboj Canton for the cooperation with the OSCE so far, emphasizing the special importance of supporting projects for new infrastructure in the village of Donji Rakovac near Maglaj, which, as he said, is a unique example in the country. He also praised the co-operation of the cantonal ministry of education, science, culture, and sports with the OSCE in the project "Quality education through curricular reform".
He is particularly pleased with the co-operation of the OSCE Mission to BiH with the Zenica-Doboj Canton Government Team for the Prevention and Fight against Corruption, as well as with the activities for the prevention of corruption.
The head of the OSCE Field Office in Travnik also praised the social policy of the ZDC government because it planned to increase this year's budget of the Ministry of Labor, Social Policy and Refugees from 28 million KM to 30 million KM, in order to comply with the FBiH Law on Foster Care.
The meeting was also attended by the head of the Prime Minister's Office and the Prime Minister of the Government Team for Prevention and Fight against Corruption Dževad Fejzić and the official of the OSCE Field Office for Support and Development of Local Self-Government Daut Bajramović.
