CEC BiH to file criminal complaint against Dodik

FENA Press release

SARAJEVO, January 28 (FENA) - After learning that the Prosecutor's Office of BiH, after at least two public addresses by BiH Presidency Chairman Milorad Dodik at press conferences in which he verbally attacked BiH Central Election Commission member Vanja Bjelica-Prutina and the CEC, did not initiate proceedings duties, the BiH Central Election Commission has taken concrete steps.

In this regard, a report was made today against Chairman Dodik on suspicion of committing a criminal offense under the Criminal Code of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which will be submitted to the Prosecutor's Office of BiH.

The Central Election Commission of BiH thanked all international officials in BiH and individuals from BiH who supported the CEC and Bjelica-Prutina, and especially the Head of the OSCE Mission to BiH Kathleen Kavalec, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Sweden to BiH Johanna Stromquist, Ambassador of the United Kingdom in BiH Matthew Field, and Deputy Head of the EU Delegation to BiH Ekaterina Dorodnova and the US Embassy in BiH.

“Regardless of all the pressures to which it is exposed, the Central Election Commission of BiH, as an independent state body, will continue to perform tasks within its competence in accordance with the law,” the institution said.
