SARAJEVO, January 28 (FENA) - The Government of the Federation of BiH adopted today at its session the Program of Economic Reforms (PER) of the Federation of BiH for the period from 2021 to 2023.
This document will be submitted to the Directorate for Economic Planning of BiH, as a coordinating institution at the level of BiH, which is in charge of drafting the Program of Economic Reforms of BiH for this three-year period.
From 2021 to 2023, the FBiH Government plans to continue implementing measures to mitigate the negative consequences of the pandemic, i.e. to recover and stabilize the economy.
It is planned to implement austerity measures in the public sector by limiting the growth of the number of employees, and the growth of expenditures and salary contributions.
To mitigate the negative consequences for the economy, the government has planned the Economic Stabilization Fund, which will allocate funds to the most vulnerable economic entities, but also for capital investments and key economic activities.
The proposed legal framework for the establishment of the Unified Register of Taxes and Fees in the Federation of BiH, which is expected to be adopted in the first half of 2021, should have an impact on increasing confidence and motivation to start a new or expand the existing businesses in the Federation of BiH, with long-term improvement of all economic parameters related to investment growth.
The program identifies structural reforms related to energy and transport market reform, agriculture, industry and services, the business environment and economic integration reforms, as well as education, social protection and inclusion, employment and the labor market, stated the FBiH Government.
