SREBRENICA, January 22 (FENA) - A candidate for the mayor of Srebrenica from the coalition "My Address: Srebrenica" Alija Tabaković said that the decision of the Central Election Commission (CEC) to annul the elections at 26 regular polling stations in Srebrenica was expected, given as he said, all the irregularities that were happening.

He pointed out, however, that they were not satisfied with the part of the decision related to mailed-in votes, and that is why he will appeal to the Appellate Division of the Court of BiH.

"About 800 mail-in votes, at least when Bosniaks are concerned, were not sent on time and were not returned to BiH on time," Tabaković points out, adding that these are the votes that would decide the winner for both the mayor and the assembly majority.

He reminds that they warned about irregularities in the pre-election process, as well as on the election day, demanding that the elections be held in a fair and fair atmosphere, and are therefore dissatisfied that those who participated in the fraud were not sanctioned with the CEC decision.

"These are members of the polling boards, and in part it was backed by the Municipal Election Commission, and there are also main players from political parties who ordered the fraud. Especially when we take into account that some people were arrested because of everything that happened," said Tabaković.

He warned that political games and manipulations are affecting the citizens and that Srebrenica is in a very bad economic situation. He emphasizes that the municipal treasury is empty, and Srebrenica is indebted.

The candidate of the coalition "Together for Srebrenica" for the mayor of Srebrenica and the current mayor of Srebrenica, Mladen Grujičić, assessed that the decision of the CEC was shameful and expected.

"This circus was created even before the elections when it comes to the CEC. In their speeches after the election, they indicated that this decision would be made. This is a political decision, and if it were not for Doboj, there would be no Srebrenica. The losing parties in Doboj and the losing parties in Srebrenica made a deal here," Grujičić believes.

He claims that "members of the CEC from one people made concessions to members of another people and made such a decision.
