Tegeltija and Zakonjšek discuss priorities in transport infrastructure sector

SARAJEVO, January 21 (FENA) - Chairman of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina Zoran Tegeltija talked today in Sarajevo with the Director of the Permanent Secretariat of the Transport Community Matej Zakonjšek about common priorities in the field of transport infrastructure development.

The Director of the Permanent Secretariat of the Transport Community informed the Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BiH about the plans of the Secretariat in the coming period.

Tegeltija pointed out that the modernization of roads in BiH, improvement of safety, and strengthening of railway infrastructure with the aim of increasing the volume of trade in the region directly affect economic development, emphasizing the importance of continuing investments and completion of Corridor Vc through BiH, as well as Svilaj and Gradiška bridges.

He stressed the importance of establishing green corridors during the period of lockdown in the countries due to the Covid pandemic, and stressed the need to continue the functioning of these corridors, especially towards the European Union (EU) to accelerate the flow of goods and people, and strengthen regional trade and trade with the EU, stated the BiH Council of Ministers.
