SARAJEVO, January 21 (FENA) - The BiH Presidency Member Željko Komšić last night congratulated the newly elected US President Joseph Biden on taking office.
"The United States will once again be at the forefront of positive change on the international stage and BiH will have a great, proven friend in the White House,” said the Presidency member, Željko Komšić in his congratulatory message to Joe Biden.
“I would like to convey to you my most sincere congratulations, on my own behalf and on behalf of the citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina, after your assuming office as President of the United States of America,” Komšić said in his message, adding that he, as well as many BiH citizens, are happy that Biden has been inaugurated as the US president.
Komšić added that BiH is encouraged with the start of the work of Biden's administration.
"We will make additional efforts to strengthen relations between our two countries, strengthen our alliance, and accelerate Bosnia and Herzegovina's path to a modern, civic state, in which everyone has equal rights regardless of religion or ethnicity, modelled after the United States,” said Komšić.
Komšić wished Biden luck and great success, adding that he is convinced that the new US President will “overcome all challenges” he might face in the period to come.
