GORAŽDE, January 18 (FENA) - Prime Minister of the Bosnia-Podrinje Canton (BPC) Goražde, Aida Obuća, presented the Government's Work Program, goals and policy of the BPC Goražde for 2021.

Assessing that the past year was extremely difficult due to the coronavirus pandemic, Obuća pointed out that the Government's Work Program for this year is significantly conditioned by the consequences of Covid-19.

“First of all, this year we focused on combating the consequences of Covid-19, both in the field of health and economy and in other segments of life, which are under the jurisdiction of the BPC Government. This year we will continue to implement measures that will make BPC Goražde a place to live comfortably. We are thinking first of all about increasing the employment rate, so we will work on creating preconditions for attracting new investments, and I hope that we will succeed in that through joint and dedicated work,” Obuća pointed out at the press conference.

She emphasized that she will continue to work on the implementation of the projects that have started as well as other projects that are important for all residents of BPC Goražde.

“Primarily, I mean the infrastructural connection between Goražde and Sarajevo, because the construction of the Hranjen Tunnel is a historic project. We will also continue on the establishment of a hemodialysis center whose completion we expect in the first half of this year, as well as projects within the competence of the Roads Directorate, where this year we will continue paving roads within the competence of the BPC,” she announced.

According to her, the budget stability of the canton is one of the priorities so that legal obligations can be completely fulfilled so that the system would not come into question.

The Prime Minister of the BPC added that normative activities will be intensified, in terms of the adoption of important strategic documents.

Obuća emphasized that the transparency of the work of the Government and all ministries has been raised to a higher level.

She expects that the Government's Work Program, goals and policies for 2021, along with the adoption of the budget for this year, will soon pass the parliamentary procedure.
