Four buildings of judicial institutions in BiH to be built and restored

FENA Press release

SARAJEVO, January 18 (FENA) - The High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council of Bosnia and Herzegovina (HJPC BiH), with the financial support of the Government of the Kingdom of Sweden, within the Project "Improving the Efficiency of Courts and Accountability of Judges and Prosecutors in BiH", provided project documentation for the renovation and construction of the buildings of four judicial institutions.

The project documentation envisages the construction of completely new buildings of the District Public Prosecutor's Office in Bijeljina and the Municipal Court in Žepče, while the buildings of the Basic Court in Prnjavor and the Basic Court in Mrkonjić Grad will be renovated, the HJPC BiH announced.

The value of the provided project documentation is around 160,000 KM, which is a significant contribution of the Swedish Government to the BiH judiciary, and the special significance is reflected in the fact that the project documentation created preconditions for withdrawing funds from EU accession funds through IPA 2017.

For the construction of the buildings of the District Public Prosecutor's Office in Bijeljina and the Municipal Court in Žepče and the renovation of the buildings of the Basic Court in Prnjavor and the Basic Court in Mrkonjić Grad, the Delegation of the European Union to BiH, within the IPA 2017 program, provided about two million euros.
